Maple films fan edit have cut over half of the cumulative running time of the hobbit films. What was once a bloated, 542- minute trilogy is now a more digestible 247- minute epic. In general, I've tried to keep the spirit of the book intact by removing unnecessary subplots, characters, ridiculous action scenes, and so on.
