Studio Ghibli Collection
Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation studio, considered by specialized critics and many film buffs as one of the best animation studios in the world today. The name Ghibli was chosen by Hayao Miyazaki and is derived from the Italian word "ghibli", based on the name of the hot desert wind that blows in Libya. It also refers to an Italian aircraft, the Caproni Ca.309 Ghibli. Although the Italian word is transliterated (Giburi), the Japanese name of the studio is (Jiburi).
